Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy in Bicester, Oxfordshire & Online.

REFLECT ∙UNDERSTAND ∙ MOVE FORWARD

Together we'll explore the patterns, thoughts, emotions and ways of coping that may be keeping you stuck, helping you move beyond anxiety, stress, overthinking and life on autopilot..

Counselling & Psychotherapy tailored to you.

A different kind of experience - therapy built around you.

No two people arrive with the same story.

Some people know exactly what's troubling them. Others simply know life no longer feels how they'd like it to.

Perhaps you've found yourself caught in recurring patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety, constantly overthinking or reacting in ways that no longer feel helpful. Maybe you're carrying pressures that nobody else sees, feeling disconnected from yourself, or wondering why the same challenges keep appearing in different forms.

Integrative counselling and psychotherapy isn't about fitting you into a particular model or diagnosis. It's about understanding you.

Together we'll explore the experiences, beliefs, emotional patterns and protective strategies that have shaped how you think, feel and relate to others. Not to judge them, but to understand them.

Because once we understand the invisible patterns we've been living by, we're no longer destined to keep repeating them.

At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy.

Reflect. Understand. Move Forward.

MEET ANDREW (ANDY)

Experience. Insight. A Grounded Approach.

Before becoming an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I spent more than twenty years working in senior HR, leadership and business, supporting people through pressure, change and some of life's most challenging moments.

Today, I offer private counselling and psychotherapy in Upper Heyford, near Bicester, Oxfordshire, as well as online across the UK.

Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant.

People are rarely held back by a lack of intelligence, motivation or capability. More often, they're living by patterns they never consciously chose. Patterns that once helped them cope, adapt or protect themselves, but over time have begun to shape how they think, feel, relate to others and respond to life's challenges.

Perhaps some of that feels familiar.

Maybe you've started to feel disconnected from yourself. Perhaps life has become about getting through each day rather than truly living it. Or maybe you simply know something needs to change, even if you can't quite put your finger on why.

That's often where our work begins.

Together, we'll create the space to slow down, make sense of your experiences and better understand the patterns that may be influencing your life today. With greater awareness comes greater choice, opening the door to meaningful and lasting change.

My role isn't to tell you who you are. It's to help you understand yourself more clearly, so you can move forward with greater confidence, intention and a stronger connection to the life you want to live.

Reflect. Understand. Move Forward.

REFLECT, UNDERSTAND & MOVE FORWARD

Meaningful change begins with understanding yourself.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent years managing things on their own.

From the outside, they often appear successful, resilient and in control. Yet privately, life may feel very different.

Sometimes they know exactly what's troubling them. Sometimes they don't. What they do know is that the same thoughts, feelings or ways of coping seem to keep showing up, despite their best efforts to move forward.

Throughout life, we all develop patterns of thinking, feeling and coping. Many of these once helped us adapt or protect ourselves. Over time, however, some can begin to hold us back.

That's where our work begins.

  • Perfectionism, imposter syndrome & fear of getting things wrong.

  • Emotional overwhelm, Inner conflict & feeling pulled in different directions.

  • Family relationships & recurring patterns.

  • The lasting impact of difficult life experiences and trauma experiences.

  • People-pleasing, boundary setting & prioritising yourself.

  • Relationship difficulties.

  • Grief, loss & bereavement.

  • Life transitions, change, uncertainty & early adulthood transition.

  • Workplace stress, work-related stress & career challenges.

  • Identity, purpose & self-discovery.

Whilst many people arrive with a specific issue they'd like to explore, others simply know that life doesn't feel how they'd like it to right now. Both are equally welcome. Don't see exactly what you're looking for? Therapy doesn't begin with fitting into a category. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your situation.

Together, we'll create space to reflect on your experiences, better understand yourself and identify meaningful ways forward.
